Freestanding Vanities
Freestanding Vanities
Freestanding Vanity Units
A freestanding vanity unit sits on the floor, anchors to the wall for stability if needed, and has plumbing connecting from below or behind, as with any standard floor-standing unit.
The most compelling reason to choose freestanding over wall-hung is design: a floor-standing unit carries more visual weight, grounds the room, and suits principal bathrooms, larger en-suites, and traditional bathroom schemes where presence and storage matter as much as the floating-floor effect of a wall-hung alternative.
Each of our Royale Stones’ freestanding vanity units carries a 3-year manufacturer's guarantee and is built for UK bathroom environments. Browse the range below, or explore all styles in the wider bathroom vanity units.
The Ranges: What's Available and How They Differ
Goa: Compact Freestanding from 400mm
The Goa is the entry point of the freestanding collection; a compact 400mm floor-standing unit at £295, suited to cloakrooms and tighter en-suites where a wall-hung unit is not feasible but floor space is still limited.
It delivers the freestanding format at the smallest practical footprint in the range. For buyers who need a compact unit without stepping up to wall-hung installation, this is the straightforward answer.
Soul: Solid Wood and Real Marble, 900mm to 1500mm
The Soul is the most premium freestanding unit in the collection and the most specification-led. It is constructed from a blend of marine-grade plywood and solid wood, not MDF, with stainless steel legs and a real natural marble top rather than a manufactured stone substitute.
Three configurations are available:
-
White Carrera marble top with natural light wood
-
White Carrera marble top with dark grey solid wood
-
Black Marquina marble top with dark grey solid wood.
Natural solid wood carries inherent shade variation between units; no two Soul vanities will have identical grain or marble veining.
The product pages carry photography under multiple lighting conditions, and the showroom team can pull up current stock examples before you order.
For the Soul in the context of the full wood collection, see our wooden vanity unit range.
Belmont: Solid Wood Fluted, 700mm, Smart Mirror Option
The Belmont is a freestanding solid-wood fluted unit in a walnut finish that suits bathrooms where a standard width reads as either too small or too dominant. The basin has no overflow, so an unslotted basin waste is required. No tap hole is predrilled, which gives full flexibility over tap style and position.
The defining feature of the Belmont is the optional smart Bluetooth mirror with built-in speakers, available as an add-on at the point of purchase. It is the only vanity unit in the Royale Stones range to offer this, suited to bathrooms where the morning routine includes music or the room is used as a genuine retreat space.
Hampton: Lacquered Freestanding Vanity at 1200mm
The Hampton is a wide-format freestanding unit at 1200mm with four undermount storage cabinets, an integrated ceramic basin, and gold door knobs.
It is available in two colourways: Twilight Blue and Light Beige, both finished in a PU topcoat over a moisture-resistant carcass. Four cabinet doors give more accessible storage than a drawer-heavy unit, suited to bathrooms where storing bulkier items (towels, cleaning products) beneath the vanity is part of the brief.
The gold door knobs and integrated ceramic basin ship as part of the unit; no separate basin purchase is required. The 1200mm format makes the Hampton a viable alternative to a double vanity where two basins are not needed but generous storage and width are.
Manor: Freestanding at 600mm
The Manor freestanding unit at 600mm shares the same PU topcoat construction and gold door knob hardware as the Hampton but in a single-cabinet, compact format.
Available in Light Beige and Twilight Blue, it includes an integrated white ceramic basin and a single undermount cabinet. It is the most straightforward freestanding option in the coloured range: no integrated countertop extension, no optional additions, just a well-built floor-standing cabinet with basin in a considered colour.
The Manor is also available as a standalone WC unit, toilet cabinet, WRAS-approved water tank, ceramic toilet, and flush plate, in both the light beige and twilight blue colourways, allowing a coordinated freestanding bathroom layout without the commitment of a full combination suite.
Imperial: Freestanding in Sage Green and Light Beige, 600mm to 1200mm
Freestanding Vanity Unit 600mm: The Imperial range, at 600mm, is available as a freestanding vanity unit with an integrated ceramic basin, a marble top, and gold door handles.
Freestanding Vanity Unit 1200mm: At 1200mm, both colours step up to a full suite, vanity cabinet alongside toilet cabinet, including ceramic toilet, WRAS-approved water tank, gold flush plate, and marble top, supplied as a coordinated set from a single order.
For buyers who want the full combined suite format with a coloured lacquered finish, the Imperial is the primary option. See the full combined vanity and toilet unit range for all suite configurations, and the coloured vanity collection for the complete colour range across all formats.
Sizes Across the Freestanding Range
The freestanding collection runs from 400mm (Goa) through 600mm (Manor, Imperial), 700mm (Belmont), 900mm and 1200mm (Soul, Imperial suite), and 1500mm (Soul double-sink). The Hampton sits at 1200mm as the widest lacquered option.
For wider double-basin configurations beyond 1200mm, the double vanity range covers freestanding formats up to 1500mm with twin-basin setups specifically designed for shared bathrooms.
For those considering wall-hung is the right call, the wall-hung vanity collection covers all floating options.
Finishes and Colours
The freestanding range runs across three distinct finish types.
Solid wood with real marble (Soul, Belmont) delivers natural grain and genuine stone variation, the most premium material combination in the collection and the most individual, since no two units are identical.
PU lacquered colour (Hampton, Manor, Imperial) gives a consistent, sealed colour finish in twilight blue, light beige, and sage green, moisture-resistant, easy to maintain, and coordinated across every component in the unit.
Natural walnut (Belmont, Goa) brings warmth without the weight of marble and suits bathrooms where the wood tone is the design anchor rather than the colour.
Tiling to Complement a Freestanding Vanity
A freestanding unit occupies the floor; the floor tile will run to the base of the unit rather than under it, and the wall tile behind is the primary visual backdrop.
Large-format stone-effect porcelain, warm limestone finishes, and textured wall tiles all work well behind the Soul and Belmont ranges. Cooler, graphic tile palettes suit the Hampton Twilight Blue and the darker Soul configurations.

See the Freestanding Range In Person
Scale, material, and colour are the three things a freestanding vanity unit needs to get right, and all three are easier to assess in person than on screen. Our showrooms in Birmingham, Watford, Peterborough, Lincoln, and Kent carry freestanding vanity displays alongside coordinating tile samples and hardware finishes. The team can advise on size selection, colour combinations, and plumbing configurations for any layout.

All freestanding vanity units are water-resistant, not waterproof. Wipe excess surface water immediately to protect finish quality. 3-year manufacturer's guarantee applies to all units against manufacturing defects in standard domestic use. Natural solid wood and marble units carry inherent material variation — shade differences between units are a characteristic of natural materials, not a manufacturing defect.
